Do members need to have insurance, special certifications, or a business license?
No, but if you do, include it! It's in your best interest to include all
your qualifications (any insurance, certifications, licenses, special
skills etc.) in your Laborfair profile. Customers search and decide
based on their criteria so it's better to add more.

Do members need to speak English well?
Some jobs require a good level of English and some very little. It's
up to the customer and better to include your proficiency in your profile.

- Your own email address you check daily and validate with us
- A mobile phone number with text messaging capability (SMS) to receive job lead alerts (optional feature)
- One professional reference from current or previous customers
- A PayPal account or credit card to pay for personal leads you accept

Will my personal contact information be public?
No, your personal contact information will NOT be public. Your
account information is internal and safe at Laborfair. Only what you publish
in your Laborfair profile is public and visible to visitors of
Laborfair.com. Please read our privacy policy for more information.

Is it really FREE??
Yeap! Your basic Laborfair membership is FREE. This includes: your profile, your leads,
the Laborfair job board, text message alerts in your cellphone, tools for self-promotion,
your unique and universal URL searchable on Google and more.

Is there a contract to sign?
No. There are no commitments or forms to sign. If you would like to pause
your profile, remove your profile, or unsubscribe completely from our
mailing list, inform us at any time.

Do I need to pay for every job lead I receive?
No. All your leads are FREE. When you receive a personal job lead, you decide
if you want to accept or decline it. If you decline the lead, Laborfair will
send a polite decline to the customer on your behalf and share the lead with
other providers who may be available to respond to the lead.

Can I remove my profile from Laborfair.com at any time?
Yes. At Laborfair, our members are in complete control. Just sign
in with your FairID, go to your profile and pause or un-publish your
listing. You can always return to Laborfair with your FairID and update
and republish. Your customer reviews remain archived.

Do all mobile phone carriers support the text-messaging alert service?
The Laborfair text-message service is currently in trial and not all
networks are supported. Cingular, AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint mobile
carriers all work with our alert system. Note: your job lead alerts are
always sent to you via email regardless of the status of your Laborfair
text-message alert service.

Is there a charge to receive text alerts?
Laborfair does not charge for sending text alerts. However, your mobile carrier may charge a per-message fee depending on your rate plan.
Our text alert feature, and text messaging in general, is pretty nifty
— consider a plan with your carrier which includes plenty of text
messages monthly. You'll find yourself text'ing away to your friends
and family all the time!

Do I need to be licensed to list on Laborfair?
You must abide by applicable state laws in providing your service.
In particular, there are license requirements for "Skilled Trade"
categories (e.g., Plumbers, Electricians, etc.). For details,
